5-point package of measures will be extended
The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action continues to support the German export industry during the coronavirus pandemic

The Federal Government extended the 5-point package of measures introduced to stabilise the German export industry during the COVID-19 pandemic until 30.06.2022. Some of the measures adopted in July 2020 were due to expire at the of 2021.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to exerts considerable strain on the exporting industry. In order to provide ongoing support to the companies and their employees, it is therefore important that the relief measures adopted in July 2020 remain in force.
The 5-point package of measures related to the export credit guarantees (so-called Hermes Cover) aims at improving the liquidity position of exporters and importers, expanding the possibilities for banks to refinance export transactions and facilitating the financing of foreign business, e.g. through technical improvements in connection with premium payments for existing export credit guarantees.

In addition, no application fee will be charged for a specific digital product for small-ticket export transactions (“click&cover EXPORT”) until 30.06.2022. Small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, will benefit from this.
