- You have an operating subsidiary in Germany or would like to establish a new one. This has a long-term interest in Germany as a business location and you can also demonstrate this to the representatives of the federal government, e.g. with the help of a project pipeline to be provided from Germany. The federal government can also expect long-term commercial business operations (at least order and project management).
- If you are setting up a new business in Germany, the Federal Republic of Germany can support you via its foreign trade agency GTAI.

Basic project-related requirements
- The contract for the entire project with the customer is concluded by the German entity.
- The majority of the sourcing comes from Germany. The usual requirements for German value creation apply here (at least 51% German value creation), although reinsurance with other ECAs can be taken into account if necessary.
- If the projects are "green" in the sense of the climate strategy, improved conditions apply (among other things, it is possible to insure foreign shares of up to 70% and increase the cover ratio to 98%).

Angola relies on solar energy
Technology "made in Germany" is in demand worldwide. The Portuguese MCA Group therefore founded MCA Deutschland GmbH in Eschborn in 2021 in order to benefit from German engineering expertise and German supply chains. With the newly founded subsidiary, the MCA Group wanted to create a competence center for the energy and urban development segments in Germany. The aim is to implement projects in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe. Another advantage: as a German company, MCA Germany can take advantage of the export credit guarantees of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The project aims to expand the power supply in Angola and supply around 203,000 households with photovoltaic systems. The German government is supporting the project with supplier credit and buyer credit cover.
