Brief description
The Federal Government also supports certain export projects of the German defense economy with Export Credit Guarantees. Supplier Credit Cover and/or Buyer Credit Cover are used to secure these projects.
In addition, a combination with other forms of cover (e.g. Manufacturing Risk Cover, Contract Bond Cover, Counter-Guarantee) is possible.

Special features
Cover (PDF, DE) is available for defense projects with Export Credit Guarantees for various military goods and recipient countries.
Premium
The premium rates in accordance with the applicable fee schedule for premiums apply; if a flexible repayment profile is used, this is taken into account accordingly when determining the risk period.
For transactions in consensus category I countries, a market test must generally be carried out.
Uninsured portion
- for Supplier Credit Cover
- 5% for political risks
- usually 15% for commercial risks
- 5% for all risks in the case of buyer credit cover
