Cover for defence projects
Overview
The Federal Government extends support to certain export projects of the German defence industry through Export Credit Guarantees. These projects are secured using Supplier Credit Cover and/or Buyer Credit Cover. Additionally, a combination with other forms of coverage, such as Manufacturing Risk Cover, Contract Bond Cover and Counter-Guarantee, is possible.

Special Features
Cover (PDF, EN) is available for defence projects involving various military goods and destination countries.
Premium
Premium rates are determined according to the applicable fees and premium rates. If a flexible repayment profile is utilized, it is duly considered in determining the horizon of risk period. For transactions in countries falling into OECD consensus category I, a market test is generally required.
Uninsured portion (percentage excess)
For Supplier Credit Cover
- 5% for political risks
- 15% for commercial risks (typically)
For Buyer Credit Cover
- 5% for all risks
Application Process for Supplier/Buyer Credit Cover
Applications can be conveniently submitted online via the myAGA customer portal (DE). To apply for coverage of your export business with Supplier/Financial Credit Cover, please submit your digital application through the portal. Registration is a simple process requiring just a few steps. Existing myAGA users can log in directly with their credentials.
