German exporters and banks have long relied on the Federal Government’s export credit guarantees — a trusted instrument for risk protection and financing. Outside Germany, however, the so-called Hermes Cover is still less well known, even though it offers importers significant advantages.

To strengthen international trade relations, advisory services are now being expanded in key global regions — including Southeast Asia, Abidjan, Dubai, India, and Latin America.

This initiative ensures that German exporters and financing banks have access to experienced local experts — providing tailored financing solutions, in-depth market insights, and hands-on support directly on the ground.

WWith our financing experts, we strengthen access to export credit guarantees (Hermes Cover) directly in key target markets. On the ground — in Singapore (Southeast Asia), Abidjan (West and Sub-Saharan Africa), Dubai (MENA region), Mumbai (India), and via a “mobile desk” in Latin America — we provide tailor-made advisory services in export finance.

Our financing experts work closely with the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) and support importers, exporters, banks, and financial institutions. They help raise awareness of the benefits of German export credit guarantees, facilitate their application, and provide valuable insights into local market conditions.

The expanded advisory services include:

• personal on-site support for project initiation, financing solutions, and discussions with local partners;
• close coordination with the established advisory network in Germany to leverage synergies and ensure smooth cooperation;
• regional expertise, including sound assessments of country and sector risks, financing conditions, and legal frameworks.
